Hitachi High Tech America has announced that some of its older instruments will be put on the "restricted support" list due to a lack of some replacement parts. Hitachi will continue to honor service agreements as long as replacement parts are available. Most of these instruments were manufactured in the 1990's, and early 2000's. Tokyo, Japan based Hitachi High-Tech Corporation has recently released a new 120kV TEM, the HT7800II. The newest in Hitachi's line of in-lens UHR-SEM's, the SU9600 claims SE resolution of 0.4nm @ 30kV (gap method), and 0.34nm @ 30kV lattice resolution in STEM mode.
